These two songs are from masters from a private orgy that was held at the club. Only the A crowd was invited. It was a wild night. Both songs could possibly be by the same person. It could be Nina Simone or a man with a great fallsetto voice.
Wally used and echo effect throughout both songs and underpinned the music with Eno's "music for airports". The lyrics are hard to make out but I'll try.
1 prossible song title "Sail On"
Lyrics:
you're caught somewhere between reality
and you can't tell me if it's wrong
(can't make out the next line)
you're sleepy but there's still so much you have to do
you're waking but your dreams keep calling you
keep your eyes on the road ahead
Chorus: so sail on my friend sail on (x2)
the vocalist aslo sings a couple of lines in either Spanish or Italian
2 possible title "It's Time To So The Seed"
song begins with violins and a harp
lyrics:
When your fantasies are gone
your realities
and there's just no reason or rhymn
and your whispers and fears
are like cannons in your ears
and nobody hears them but you
in a place where rest
and just what was said
but your senses sense nothing new
like a chid in the Seine
building castles in pails
Chorus:
I feel like I on a train
I got to pull the chain
it's time to sow the seed
it's time to sow the seed
it's time to sow the seed
That's it for the Wally McDonald memorial project. I would like to thank everyone who help me with this project. Next post will be from The Saint Gay Pride 1986 dj Warren Gluck

I found out who did these songs his name is David Barretto and I was right on with the song titles. Bernie talk about seven degrees of separtion. You did an interview with Meco and in the article he states that he worked with Barretto. I wonder if Meco was on the album that these tunes are from "Para Mis Hermanes" 1974? I also found out who did Foster's "Beautiful Dreamer post punk version, a performence artist named Colette with Justine & the Victorian Punks (aka Peter Gordon & His Love Orchestra).
