    Memorial: ID Artist "I Got The Music In Me"

    woman vocalist, around 1984 ( date on the master) not dance. this cover has a gospel feel at the beginning and goes into pure jazz. it sure as hell sounds like Aretha Franklin. Incredible scat Tried to verify that and can't find that song in her discography. Any takers on this one

    If it's the old Kiki Dee song "I've Got The Music In Me", it might be a jazzy cover recorded by Thelma Houston in 1981 from a LP of the same name. :D

    just download Thelma's version and it's not the right one. I still think the woman sound a hell of lot like Aretha.
