I have been looking for a song for the last 30 years or so...I am positive some of the lyrics go "...second to none, just having fun, second to none, you're number one." It was very energetic lavish production. I do not remember the artist. This is a "lost gem" indeed.

This would be "Number One" from Change.

But maybe you mean a different song...
