Below is a list of the tracks I've never heard. Could anyone here give me an idea of what they're like and tell me if they are worth tracking down.

    8. Risque - Burn It Up (Mr. DJ)
    12. Deborah Washington - Nothing But Heartaches/Nowhere To Run
    25. Gina Lamour - The Continental
    28. Lime - On The Grid

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi poplives,

This is my PERSONAL opinion about these tracks. Others may have different opinions. As for taste in music it is difficult to assess whether or not you like the tracks listed above. Here's what I think about them:

Risque - Burn it up: What a great NRG stomper during the 80's. I bought this track as a 12" single -- if this helps (and I am a die-hard HI NRG fan). During the eighties this track was played at every club I went to (after the single was released).

Deborah Washington - Nothing But Heartaches: I've got this track as part of a vinyl compilation (studio 54 or 57 I believe). The song is O.K., but I would not have bought it as a 7" or 12" single at the time.

Gina Lamour - The Continental: I don't know this track. I've seen it listed in various music magazines in the eighties, but never saw a hard copy of it, hence I do not know how good or bad it is.

Lime - On The Grid: I have this track as a 12" and on a LIME LP of course. One of the worst tracks of the group IMO. Nothing to write home about. Again, these are my personal likes and dislikes, others may find this track cool and fab. If someone else replies to your question you may get a different answer.

Thanks for posting the Record Mirror. Memories from the past. I think I have about 94% of the tracks listed.

    Hi Magnifique,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. You've been most helpful. I'll certainly be chasing after Risque - Burn it up.

I'll be posting another hi-NRG chart tomorrow and further comments will be most welcome!

Keep them charts comin' poplives, magic memories

This is about the time I started spinning,

On the grid was forgetable, am shocked that Angel Eyes is a b-side..... was a mega track, that synth line/hook in the opening and the beat kicking in made me race out and find every Lime track I could (Angel Eyes was my first)

Hehehehe :icon_lol: "Not the Loving Kind", the pressing in Australia had a viscious bass and I got in huge trouble from the old bloke who owned the club when I destroyed the 18" bins...... pretty crackly that night, still puts a smile on my face.

    Fantastic Chart and era.....
    a few Bobby O tracks
    UK & US Hi-NRG
    San Fran sound
    Italo
    Canadian
DAMN!!!!! What more could you want

Herbie Hancock seems to be the odd one there

    Any more charts poplives??????
Masterpiece, you should have seen it - That rainbow in the moonglow. Masterpiece, you've got to live it - That new dawn tomorrow!
