Johan.
Nice, very nice. Congrats! Any other angles/shots of the Brabus cause I like to dream in 3D.
Finally, today, I got a phonecall from the dealership that my new Brabus had arrived and I rushed over there to examine it, although I still have to wait till next Tuesday to collect it  .
I traded in my wife's Merc CLS (I already sold my old Brabus and my oldtimers in August) so next week we will both be thrilled to drive a new car since Nicole 's Beamer was delivered last week. Now, my wallet is empty, so both will have to serve us for a long time now!

Thx Bernie, I'll make some pics next week when it's delivered to me (These were taken with my mobile).
But meanwhile you can dream already in 3D and I just know you won't to read about the technical specifications:

My wife's behind :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: I can't believe she had to nerve to pass me on that road!!!
:icon_twisted: This is going to be my next one (2008-If the price is not too outrageous, that is-I already made an agreement with the dealer so I won't lose too much money by trading my current 1 in-The S is a great car but a little too limo for moi)
I love this beauty!!!!

That CL is mighty nice Johan. How's the current Brabus been for you?

Bernie, it's a great ride but as you know I've driven the Brabus Sl for many years and the "S" is more of a spiced up Mercedes-Limo. I thought I had reached the age for a more adult car but I still prefer sportscoupés and not 4-doors. It handles smoothly, sticks to the road, has all the comfort of a Merc combined with a sporty engine but....it's not really a sports car. I like my wife's Beamer :icon_redface: In fact it's the only current Beamer I dig. The others still don't appeal to me.
The Brabus-dealer who's a good friend of mine warned me for that "feeling" and has promised me good conditions when I buy the CL. If...because I don't know the price yet and although I'm already in love with it, I will not spend a fortune on a car. Remember? I've sold my whole classic-collection and my SL to buy this 1. If the price is too high I'll go for the normal CL.
But in the meantime, I'm enjoying it!
Quinny, nice try, I see your picking up your ol' habits again.
Yes, I know what I'm doing, otherwise I wouldn't be able to buy such cars, n'est-ce pas :icon_lol:
First, you would have to know which classic cars were in the collection. Not all classics keep their value! A lot of 'em lose their value coz' it's a market-thang. If you would know something about cars, you wouldn't make such a comment :icon_lol: .
Secondly, a Brabus ain't your average Seat, so it has other market mechanisms.
Thirdly, the deal was already concluded last night in a nice Italian restaurant AND without any loss of money (no gain either). REAL businessmen move quickly and smooth you knowIf I would be so stupid as you try to brand me here, I would already be bankrupt, ain't it????
Hey, no hard feelings, we know each other, don't we !?
BTW, still in Southampton?????? :icon_eek: Things are not going the way you have planned and announced it????? :icon_eek: Can we help???? :icon_eek:
Hey, no hard feelings, we know each other, don't we!?
Johan,
So the S is gone and you've got the CL? Excellent! Congrats again and I'm glad to hear that you didn't take a hit money-wise.
BTW: This morning I saw a BMW just like the one your wife has and have to say it is a beautiful car... even better than the photo you posted above and much larger than the photo suggests. It's classy yet elegant, which is a great combo that many cars can't pull off.
I demand a test drive in either car my friend![]()

Bernie, no, the contract is signed but the CL is for next February. The S is back at the dealership and I'm driving my mom's Porsche 997 now :icon_mrgreen:
Just took a pic of it!
She (73) was planning to sell it coz' she almost never drove it. She feels more comfortable in an Audi A6 :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:
BTW, Bernie, I think you saw an BMW M6, like this one. (My wife drives the normal 6)

Good luck with her!

We'll have to live like Spartans (well, not all 300 of 'em but anyway).
Why is it a lot of FUNfair people drive these FUNny looking cars...????
They are all over the place when the FUNfair is in town...???
DISCO...that's where the happy people go....!!!
Sorry....but can you clarify what a brabus is? Is it a designer, brand, etc. I was a tad confused because I've seen Benz's with the Brabus logos. Thanks.
FUNmusicgirl, welcome to da board!
Brabus is a tuning firm, just like AMG or Lorinser. They're most famous for tuning Mercs but they do other cars from the Daimler/Chrysler group as well. It's mainly the engine that is spiced up (they turn it from sporty to raceworthy) and they modify the coachwork too!

I guess you sold that beautiful gas-guzzling Buick Riviera. I hope it's in good hands now. Those 1970s GM cars were great with their V8 engines and roomy interiors. They must have been a rare sight in Europe back in the day.
USA cars always were (and are!) a rare sight in Europe...!!
