I'm listening to 'Jammers' track

I'm listening to a track by the Jammers entitled
'What have you got to loose' from 1982. There's no point me going on about how good this track is coz i'd be here all day!!!
Just 100% groovetastic!!!!!!!!!!!

So what I wonder, makes this more groovetastic than 'Be Mine Tonight'? My ears tell me that 'Be Mine' is far more danceable and has a much harder edge than 'What Have You Got To Loose'. But I guess I liked hard sounds, better than the more soulful ones. 'Be Mine Tonight' managed to sound more like a Prelude release, which to its credit mimicked the 'happening' label of the time, and I played it a lot. Looking at the centre of the label tells me I only played the 'B' side 'What Have You Got To Loose' only a couple of times.
Sorry to disappoint.

Quinny, if you like the harder stuff you would love the track 'Straight Down to the Bone' from the same Jammers LP. Pity u dont dig LPs 'cos u miss so much good stuff.

I guess I didn't get into albums for several reasons.
1). Cost - I couldn't afford too much. Many of the guys who played album tracks seemed to pick up and drop them very quickly from their playlists. I was earning pretty poor money, there's no way I could have done that.
2). As I've explained before, most tracks on albums bore me. A great example would be William DeVaughn's 'Be Thankful For What You Got' (which I have 3 copies of, 2 sealed). I loved the title track and played several others (Give The Little Man etc) and have nothing but very sweet memories, but don't nearly all the tracks sound identical to the title track? In isolation some tracks sound OK, but once you hear the title track, for me, they more or less pale into insignificance.
3). Once 12" ers arrived, it was (for me at least) difficult to play album tracks alonside them 'cos of the enormous differences in volume. Album tracks just didn't work for me for this reason.
4). Whenever I did get into album tracks it made it very difficult to want to play them once they became hits, 'cos I'd already be played out with 'em. I always played in relatively mainstream discos (judged by others playlists here) so there was always the need to play current biggies.
5). Frankly, I don't know if my mind could handle sooooooo much music.

I disagree with the above comment that 'Be Mine tonight' is groovier than the track ' What have you got to loose' by the 'Jammers'. I have both tracks and also have the 'Straight Down to the Bone' track and in my opinion 'What have you got to loose' is much groovier than the other two tracks!

Wow, I never disagreed with you. I too think 'What Have You Got To lose' is the best track from The Jammers LP. I mentioned the 'Straght Down to the Bone' track for Quinny's benefit as he was talking about 'hard tracks' of which I thought this was an example.
