Happy New Year to all.
A little Trivia from that past:
MFSB and Salsoul Orchestra are one and the same. Same band, different labels.
The guitar on the great hit Devil's Gun by CJ and Company was played by Dennis Coffey.
(This should be of special interest to Funky Dude who's into early 70's Funk as I am).
Brothers August Darnell and Stony Browder Jr., Cory Daye, and Andy Hernandez (Coati Mundi) were the founding members of Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band. August Darnell and Andy Hernandez later became Kid Creole and the Coconuts. If I'm not mistaking, Stony Browder became Don Armando's Rumba Band (Deputy of Love) and produced the disco hit Native New Yorker.
Cory Daye had her own Disco hit. August Darnell also co-wrote There but for the Grace of God.
