1981 or prior basical an instrumental the only singing is a male vocalist singing way-o. The song has latin feel to it and there is cow bells in the song.

Credit for this one goes to sfbeary. I knew it was an EW&F vocal...but could not find it. He reminded me where it came from.

Mark,
unforunately this is not the right song (but I'll use the Lewis song on one of my cds Love it!). I just downloaded it and the Ramsey Lewis is too laid back.The other one is higher engery 128 bpm. It has a Brazilian flavor to it and the the lyric is more of a chant of "way-o" compared to the Lewis which is more of a scatt. In this song besides the cow bells there is something that sound like an electronic saw (or however they make that noise in some of the carnival songs from Brazil)and some of the drum stresses almost sound like whips.
