Hey ZEF, did you play Robin Beck???
I can add one;
Love & Kisses - I Found Love
DJ Dan "Pooch" Pucciarelli
This is IMHO one of the best white soul/dance tracks EVA! The Dukes were really famed writers Bugatti & Musker under a 'mystery' identity.
...ya gotta beat the street......
Sandy that's Hot!
Not familiar with The Dukes, but I'm lovin' their sound, was the rest of their releases in a similar vein to this cut?
Well I found their 1982 LP....WOW! love every cut on it! Produced by Arif Mardin, ya can't go wrong there! reminds me among other things, a little like Steely Dan's sound, and Petrus/Malavasi compositions....great album THx! for posting that song Sandy!

My pleasure qd! As you say, you can't go wrong with an Arif Mardin production.:icon_cool: Interesting you made the Steely Dan comparison as they're probably my fave non-disco band. You know, although I love this single to death & played the grooves off it, I never got the LP or heard it!I've tried getting the Japanese-only CD version but it usually goes for mega bucks.

mmmh..... what about
What you won't do for love/Bobby Caldwell
Love will find a way/Pablo Cruise
Breakout/Swingout Sister
You need a hero/The Pages
Swingout Sister, timeless. That goes into british blue-eyed-soul just like "Diggin your scene" by the Blow Monkeys and Lisa Stansfields "All around the world":icon_biggrin: Regards to Manchester, where I spent the rainy but memorable summer of 1981, a great disco year.
