"Shake Your Body Down To The Ground" by the group, which is interchangeable with Jacko's "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough".
The Jacksons. OK, some of you can go with The Jackson 5 or Micheal, Jermaine, whatever!
Anyway as I type I'm still debating between the smooth sophisticated "Show You The Way To Go", my dance floor favorite, "Shake Your Body Down" or that awesome concert song "Can You Feel It." Speaking of concerts, these men put on the best concert I have ever seen. Anyway I'll pick a number one later.

It's "a little bit" mainstream, but my favourites are
- michael jackson's don't stop till you get enough
- the jackson's blame it on the boogie
- micheal jackson's billy jean
- jackson 5's iwant you back (and also "abc")
newer jackson song's are mostly crap.... (sorry to all the Jackson Fans out there)
Whew!!! Paul --the ENTIRE Jackson Family in one fell swoop!!!! That's a lot of records to pare down to just one or two favorites!!!
Well I like most everything that's been mentioned thus far...
I voted for "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough" on BOTH Top 500 lists. Quincy Jones works the DANCER in me with that one!!! Whether it was a Pop #1 or is now considered "wedding disco"--it is a GREAT record.
Last time, I also voted for the terrific "Can You Feel It" (which was recently sampled as "Feel It" by The Tamperer (truth in advertising there!!).
"Shake Your Body down To The Ground" is pretty damn good. "Forever Came Today" is excellent also. "Blame It On The Boogie" is a nice one from their Gamble/Huff era.
As far as Michael solo..."Billie Jean" is one of the all-time GREAT records; love "Beat It" also...AND "The Way You Make Me Feel".... and "Rock With You" and....
Oh, and let me mention Jermaine....(well, actually he had some good records....but I think my time has expired).
Damn!!! and I didn't even get to Rebbie, Tito or LaToilet. Or those nephews!!!! What happened to that crew????
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Jackson 5 - "ABC"
Jacksons - "Shake Your Body Down To The Ground"
Michael Jackson - "Rock With You"
Does anyone here like Janet Jackson? I don't care for her music, but my fiancee likes "All For You".
My favourite jacksons track is 'Walk Right Now' from their 1981 LP Triumph.
...ya gotta beat the street......
My faves are:
Jackson 5 - "Show You The Way To Go".
Michael Jackson - "Rock With You" & "Wanna Be Starting Something".
Rebbie Jackson - "Centipede" (This was one of the BEST one-hit wonders).
*DISCO DELIGHT*
Delight. It's so delightful to see you again. I know you said work's got you on lock down but something tell's me that your real work looks something like Vin DieselOn 2002-10-28 17:30, HustleBaby wrote:

Hey Marky, I know it's hard but I know you can pare it down. Just kidding, I know they had many hits. I'm just waiting for Nicky to show up with about 20 songsBy the way, for some reason I expected to see "Ben" on your list.

Aside from her hot body, yes I do like some of her songs Outsider. My favorite from her is "When I Think Of You."On 2002-10-28 16:07, Outsider wrote:

Hi fellas,
here's a hot disco song by Jermaine Jackson: LET'S BE YOUNG TONIGHT - I love this one, don't you?
The J5 - they have lots of classic recordings, it will be too much work to name them all here
The Jacksons - the albums with GAMBLE &HUFF are wonderful and somewhat forgotten today - GOIN' PLACES deserve to be heard by soul and disco fans of today. DESTINY and TRIUMPH are almost perfect late 70's/early 80's soul records - filled with wonderful vocals by Michael (he was at his best as a singer at the time). VICTORY is so-so, a few good tracks and some de-luxe filler. (BTW, I like TORTURE - the song, of course! And I remember the video of the song was pure 80's trash - very campy stuff!)
Michael solo post MOTOWN - his masterpiece is OFF THE WALL. When I heard THRILLER in 1982, I was somewhat disapointed with the album - it sounded more straightforward pop than its predecessor. I think THRILLER is a great album, but inferior to OFF THE WALL. BAD is horrible - the only song I can accept from this one is THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL, the rest is bland 80's funk - this one marks the beginning of Jacko's downfall. DANGEROUS has some great moments mixed with some junk -the album is simply too long. The guys shoulda keep the 10 track per album formula when they made this one. HISTORY has one or 2 decent tracks and some scary, horrible stuff - "Before you judge me/try hard to love me"? Come on, Mike, give us a break, please. By the time of HISTORY, his voice was kinda ruined. And his last musical offer, INVINCIBLE, has 3 amazing tracks: YOU ROCK MY WORLD, BUTTERFLIES and 2000 WATTS. But the album is marred with some syrupy horrible songs like THE LOST CHILDREN (glup! Let's find them before Mike gets them!). Unfortunately, Jackson made a bad choice: today he prefers to be the beast, not the beauty. All we can get from him today is a glimpse of what he used to be as an artist and a person...
About Michael Jackson MOTOWN solo albums: love them all, especially MUSIC AND ME and FOREVER MICHAEL!!!
Janet - great. The way she sings is very influenced by Diana Ross, don't you agree with me? She recorded 4 strong, hot albums: CONTROL, RHYTHM NATION, JANET & THE VELVET ROPE (all masterpieces of contemporary funk, cortesy of the extra talented JAM & LEWIS). Her last album is so-so, filled with forgettable songs. Great exception to this rule: the title song, ALL FOR YOU.

hey Zeca, "Thriller" has the voice of Bela Lugosi.
About The Jackson 5 I like "Dancing Machine" and "Good Times".
.
Well Marky, I seem to remember you like ballads and "Ben" to me was a nice ballad. I suppose it's kinda hard to get over that rat thing though. On 2002-10-28 21:30, markydefad wrote:

To be precise, what you hear there is the late Vincent Price. Rent Tim Burton's "Ed Wood" for the hilarious yet tragic true story of Bela Lugosi of the previous generation of horror stars. On 2002-10-28 22:41, Marcio wrote:
