    About Gino Soccio's nationality

Gino Soccio is from Canada, no doubt about it  .
There's a wrong information on web about Gino Soccio's nationality. A guy called David Nerattini said Gino Soccio ''is from France. Half-Italian, but French'' :-o . It's too much lies to my mind :???: .

Yes Marcio, there is wrong information of the web. I've read incorrect information on the Discomusic.com Forum too.

Gino Soccio is from Montreal, Quebec, here in Canada. I had an opportunity to meet him and get his autograph when his S-Beat album was new. He made an instore promotional appearance at A&A Records on Young Street in Toronto.

What was he like adam? I've got all of Gino's records & love most of them but i know nothing about him (other than the fact that he's from Montreal!). Was he quiet or outgoing? Did he have a French accent because he doesn't have one when he sings?

    Re: About Gino Soccio's nationality

My guess: this Nerattini guy heard Gino speaking in French (Montreal is in the French-spoken region of Canada) and thought he was from la France.
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)

Gino is very low-key and when he speaks in french ; he has a thick Italian accent. He was on TV a few times during his disco success.

Very serious and commited to his music.

Last I heard he worked for the Government of Canada.
