Watching a 1977 episode of Top Of The Pops there was this white rock/funk group performing a rock/funk/dance song I think is called "Party Dancin'". Anyhow the lead singer has curly blonde hair and there's two guitarists and a bass player and the song is really cool with both funky guitars scratchin' and the bass playing. The problem was this is a poor quality copy and the sound wasn't that good when Tony Blackburn announced the band name after the song, I think he said "The Hutchinson Four" but I'm not sure.

Can anyone help me identify the group and if the song's called "Party Dancin'" or some other title?

    Found the artist/title

Hi DISCODISK. I watched the video a few times and listened to Tony Blackburn saying the song title and artist name a few times and found out it was:

Hudson Ford - Are You Dancing

And the album it comes off falls under the 'pub rock' category. I must say that song "Are You Dancing" is a great rock/funk fusion with 3 guitarists, 1 bass player, string section and drums. 3 guitars, imagine that :D ! Normally in video clips I don't see more than 2 guitars and one bass.

And I do have Soul Train episodes, and in Australia we do use PAL so there is no problem with trading. Plus with my new computer I can convert NTSC videos to PAL and PAL to NTSC. Most of my Soul Train stuff is in NTSC but as I said I can convert them to PAL. I would love to trade but right now I'm in the middle of trading with 3 people and I have college exams coming up so I will be tied up until the end of November. After November I should be right to trade.
