I can't find "Which Way Is Up" under the song title or any of those name spellings on either CDNow or Amazon. What's up? I see Stargard listed above on the featured album and it got me curious as to what ever happened to them and what did their other stuff sound like - if it was as good as "Which Way Is Up" - which sounded like Rose Royce to me!

    Hi Lean,

Stargard is the correct spelling. As for their music, I haven't played anything by them in so long I'd have to reconnect before I comment. OTOH, "Which Way Is Up" was THE JOINT!!

(digs through collection and pulls out LP)

The cover is absolutely wild, showing the three ladies in glorious retrofuturistic glittery outfits.

The album is self-titled, catalog number is MCA-2321. The remaining tracks are mostly uptempo and somewhat synthy funk numbers, or slower and fairly standard R&B songs.

It's not bad at all, but as NickNack has demonstrated, it's not particularly memorable either.
