Stargard is the correct spelling. As for their music, I haven't played anything by them in so long I'd have to reconnect before I comment. OTOH, "Which Way Is Up" was THE JOINT!!
I can't find "Which Way Is Up" under the song title or any of those name spellings on either CDNow or Amazon. What's up? I see Stargard listed above on the featured album and it got me curious as to what ever happened to them and what did their other stuff sound like - if it was as good as "Which Way Is Up" - which sounded like Rose Royce to me!

The cover is absolutely wild, showing the three ladies in glorious retrofuturistic glittery outfits.
The album is self-titled, catalog number is MCA-2321. The remaining tracks are mostly uptempo and somewhat synthy funk numbers, or slower and fairly standard R&B songs.
It's not bad at all, but as NickNack has demonstrated, it's not particularly memorable either.
