Wow: Your list is intrigueing for several reasons.
Did I miss these records because they were rare at the time, because I heard them and dismissed them, because neither I or most of my fellow DJs sought out enough product or because there was enough 'good' product anyway, so why bother? After all, there's only so much product you can play, before you begin to alienate an audience (albeit that each venue will have a different tolerance level), and at the time I wouldn't have any way of knowing which records might become collectable 20 years later.
Fiendish lists like yours can mess up a mind in the short term.

    Hey Quinny,

I have a question for you. No offense, please. It's just something that I (maybe other people too) am curious.

Where were you DJing all those years!?!?! You often have said you dont know this or that!! Frankly, not all of those songs are completely unknown. Some of that you MUST to know.
How can you (as a DJ)do know so little tracks? :???:

    Peace.

Blax: Perhaps I was very selective in what I bothered with. I only had so much money to spend on records and I wasn't an avid collector of records just for the sake of having them. Most of you guys are really intense.

    Quinny,

You are right about our addiction on music. No doubt about it.

The thing that makes me upset is the fact that you often make nasty statements saying (specially to the newbies) that their tastes are not good!! Just because you dont know some track! And you (undeniably) dont know everything, for many particular reasons.
In fact, nobody knows everything. If we all consider that tracks that we dont know as 'bad music', this site would be a kind of "BAD TASTE FESTIVAL"!! Do you know what I mean?

Please, I trying to be gentle as much as possible. It's not my intention hurt your feelings, I'm just suggesting we can use a lighter approach to the newbies.

    Let's open our minds!

    Peace.

I say nothing with bad intent. I think you may be biased when reading my stuff. Obviously I'm also not as sensitive as most of you, but I'm 50 years old and I'm hardly likely to change. If that offends you then sorry but that's your problem, not mine. Have you ever given a thought to the question of whether or not I may be offended by some things I read?

It's relatively easy to re-write history. After all there was a guy who convinced many people that the Jewish Holocaust didn't actually happen through the book he had published. Just imagine if by some quirk, that was the only history book of that period that survived. Would you find that offensive?
I don't doubt that the records that Wow has listed have an audience. I'd just like to know how big it is. Mere lists don't tell me anything except the name of the track and the artist. They could be absolutely brilliant, they could be absolute cak. As I DID use MY judgement originally to sort out what I thought was the wheat from the chaff, I can only reasonably assume that they were rare at the time and/or were not that good; surely if a record was really good EVERYONE would have wanted a copy, including me! I think that's a reasonable assumption until my ears get a chance to tell me otherwise, which may never happen. So I'm not going to worry about it in the long term, but in the short term it gives me some concern.

Blax: I have laughed at social convention all my life. I greatly distrust people who are too nice. 'They smile in your face.........backstabbers'.
Life's been tough for me.

    Hey Quinny,

I just gave you a tip (a friendly feedback), to make your presence more pleaseant here. To my surprise, you just wrote (and posted here) a book about your life!!

Sorry, but this is a "Music Discussion Board".
You can like and hate whatever you want (including music and song lists), but you can say it in a way that dont scared or send away the newbies!! You are doing this frequently. I hope you dont think we are here to discuss music only with you, right???

As you can see, everyone here (including you) are welcome and can disagree each other without put other people's taste in the middle of discussion. Simple, huh?

    Peace.
    P.S.
It's all just a feedback, use it or dump it!! You decide!
