I am unfamiliar with all but one song on your list. 'Rock Shock' by B.B.C.S.&A. was a favorite of mine during my college days and Sam Records, along with Prelude and West End, was one of my favorite labels at that time. I bet some of those others are probably just as good.

All I know on this list is the GREAT Monica Neal "Begging For More"; Troc Classic on SAM Records. I just pulled it out and see that D.C. LaRue co-wrote and produced this; Johathan Fearing did the 12" mix. I guess I need to play this now.

Monica sure sounds like Stepahnie Mills!!! This is a blast back to the past!!! Why can't they make records like this anymore????
From this era, I also recall fondly "My Heart's Not In It" by Brenda Jones; "Watch Out" and "What Goes Around" by Brandi Wells;"Feel My Love" by Laurice Hudson; "You're Not So Hot" by Carol Douglas; "Your Love Still Brings Me To My Knees" by Marcia Hines; "Goin' Down" by Yvonne Brown; "Feel It , Don't Fight It" by Atkins; "Don't turn Your Back On Love" by Eloise Whitaker; "Sure Shot" by Tracy Weber;"Keep The Fire Burning" by Gwen McCrae---OK, I better STOP!! In The Name Of Keeping My Apartment from looking like a disaster area!!! I just gotta listen to all this stuff again!!!!

Yes, We Had MUSIC Back Then-- as opposed to the crap that passes today!!!!
