Not sure if I see it as Disco, but I love this song anyway!

    this one and....

    "ESCAPE"The Pina Colada Song:icon_mrgreen:

This reminds me of a group of songs, I just couldn't get enough of in the early 80's(late 70's) that at the time I think was being referred to as "Soft Rock"
    which included songs like

Into the Night - Benny Mardones
    The Logical Song - Supertramp
Falling in Love - Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds
You're the Biggest Part of Me & You're the Only Woman - Ambrosia
Ride Like the Wind (is this DISCO!?) - Christopher Cross

    And quite a few others....

I've got a rather OK hi-nrg version of 'Him' by a lady called Simone from 1984. Also, did u know that Rupert Holmes made an out & out disco record in 1979 under the alias of Shobizz called 'Do It In The Dark'? It's fabulous with 'disco chix' & percussion breaks & everything! Check it out.

THAT is a hot song! I was pleasantly surprised when I read the credits and saw his name

I'm so glad you like it 'cos I do too but in the past when I mentioned it I got no response. Do you know whether this track got much play in the clubs in '79? It wouldn't surprise me if this was one of the many great records that got lost in the 'glut of '79'!:( ;)

Sorry, unfortunately I wasn't old enough to be in the clubs in '79, so I don't have a clue, but I remember hearing the song, so it may have gotten a little exposure on N.Y. radio8)

Wow, as someone wrote in the comments under the song I had not heard this song in about 25 years, maybe more.

Thanks for posting the link. I don't really see it as Disco song per se. More like the soft rock variety but I am sure that I danced to it SOMEWHERE with somebody.
I used to frequent the LA disco scene in the late 70\'s. My favorite discos were \" My uncles, Dillons, the Tiki\'s, Odyssey 2000.

This song ( Do it in the dark) was a HUGE hit in Venezuela, the Disco-Dance Capital of South America.

Also the Shobizz version of "Shortnin' Bread" was a hit, Actually, I liked this one better than "Do it ITD"
