Boodikka and all you other really bright folks, please put on your thinking caps. Most people I ask about this do not know what I'm talking about!
Okay. The show was for kids and it used puppets, I believe (not hand puppets). It was set way in the future but I don't recall what year although it mentioned the year in the opening dialog. The show opened with the line "...where men from Earth, Mars and Venus live and work together." Then it showed the feature character shooting down some tube or rail type of thing in a space car of sorts.
Can anyone please tell me the name of it and any other trivia you might know?!
Also, does anyone remember the Christian kids' show on Sundays called Davey and Goliath, which used either claymation or puppets? Any trivia on that one would be appreciated!
Hi Lean! The Goddess will give this a go: The kid's show sounds like one of Gerry Anderson's "SuperMarionation" 60's shows, either "Supercar" or "Fireball XL5". Other Anderson shows broadcast stateside include "Thunderbirds" (the most well-known here), "Stingray" and "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons".
"Davey and Goliath" was an inspirational kid's show from Art Clokey's "Gumby" crew. Not many kid's shows can boast a theme song written by Martin Luther himself (A Mighty Fortress Is Our God)!

Good job Boodi. I remember both shows. I used to really like the music for indestructible Captain Scarlett.
When I use to be a good christian, I really enjoyed Davie and Goliath. Wasn't it some Lutheran program?
Find them and destroy them!
