I'm listening to Peabo's "Anthology" and this track is just killing me!!! It is sooo Spinners (reminiscent of "How Could I Let You Get Away"); apparently co-written and produced by Thom Bell--I never heard of it before. It's a beauty.

    Anyone remember this?

    Hey DD,

No, your song is not on this "Anthology"--now I've gotta look for that one!!!

My song "Just Another Day" apparently was a semi-hit here in the U.S., climbing to #27 on the R&B chart in January of 1977, on the Bullet label---LONG before I ever heard of Bryson.

BUT, I swear I thought I had the wrong CD in the player, cause it sounded sooo unlike Bryson and sooo like The Spinners or some other Thom Bell-blessed group.

And ya know I loves me some Thom Bell!!!!

    Hey fellas,

I'm a big fan of Peabo too. He's one of the greatest soul crooners of the late 70's, early 80's. He has a sweet, deep soulful voice and it's a shame that his recordings are not known by the majority of the people who dig black music today. The guy is one of the last soul gentleman - unfortunately, GOD don't make singers like this anymore (sigh). BTW, Marky, I don't know the song you're talking about. I didn't know Peabo recorded with Thom Bell (other big favorite of mine - maybe I'm a romantic guy after all), but I'm sure it is a great musical partnership.
