Wasn't "Fly too high" a Giorgio Moroder production ? i can't find my 7" of it at the moment. The other couple of tracks i have by her are downtempo folk/rock things.
...or did she made stuff I'm not aware of????

Janice had two non-dance hits.
"Society's Child" in the 60's and "At Seventeen" in the 70's.
Ms. Ian was a "folkie" who only once entered the dance market with FLY TOO HIGH from the Jodie Foster movie "FOXES"; score by Mr. Moroder; song credited to Ms Ian & Mr. Moroder. Love this one!!!:D:D:D
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
I'm not too crazy about this type of disco - not the synth aspect, but the shuffle groove. I don't find it as danceable as a straight beat.
Disco Funk
not disco of course, but 'At Seventeen' is one of the loveliest records ever. Beautiful.
Foxes is quite a decent movie. It evokes the period pretty well too.
