Need recommendations for DJ equipment.

Hi! I'm in the process of purchasing some equipment for personal use and I would like to know what you guys recommend.

I'm looking for pretty much everything from mixers to speakers. I do not need anything too complex or loaded with features; I'm just looking for stuff I can play with and use for an ocassional party at home.

I'm also interested in possible web sites where I can purchase the equipment. I visited a couple of local stores and their prices are, on average, 30% higher than what I find on-line.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!

I would like to recommend you two turntables Technics SL1200 with two CD players Pioneer CDJ500 or CDJ100 all together with a Pioneer mixer.... that's my idea!

Tanti grazzie caro amico! I checked out the site you recommended and it looks impressive. I also came across DJ Planet and 123DJ and I found some really interesting stuff.

Right now, I am leaning towards a Gemini PMX 1800 mixer and a couple of American DJ ProScratch CD Players. I like the fact that both the mixer and the CD players have effects built-in.

For speakers, I'm looking at the Gemini GSM 1550 15" full range speakers.

I also found a pretty decent equalizer, tons of lights, and some other hardware. I haven't decided on an amplifier yet.

Does anybody have any input on any of the equipment I mentioned here? I would appreciate any comments. Thanks!
