Hi folks, is there anyone out there who knows something about this 12"?
    Which year is it from?
    Which is the original label?
I found different labels on the net (Peppermint, TUFF) but I'd like to know the original one....
    Thanks

    I love that record!

When I bought my current record deck in 1984, Catch The Beat was one of the first 12-inch singles I bought and played on it.

The 12" version I have got a UK release in 1984, I guess, becuase that is when I bought it ....

    Bonjour !

Yes, that record is great !! I do have the US copy dedicated by T Ski himself when he came to Belgium with is producer Glen Adams (It's just a groove).

I think Belgium and Germany where 2 of the country where he had the most success in the clubs.

There was a remix version also a year or two later "I scratch the beat" on the belgian label NUNK

I do have all of T Ski Valley 12" at home as well as the album.

The peppermint one is a new 2002 remix by mousse t and dimitri from paris.

The original is 103BPM but the 2002 version is about 120 BPM but whit the same vocals (available on the dico kandi 05 02) .

Thanks, Ysl for the useful info!

So there is a 2002 remix of Catch The Beat on the new Disco Kandi 5? Very interesting!
I have two of the Hed Kandi Cds - Disco Kandi 3 and Stereo Sushi 2 - and they are both very good!

catch the beat/ t/ski valley (grand groove records 7701A) prod. by Brad Osborne.
also you might want to check out:
Real Rocking Groove/Chapter III (grand groove 7700A). I've been playing the inst. versions (grand groove bunch-grand groove house band) of these two records for years and they continue to move the crowd. There's a possibility that 21st century music may have a copy of one of these. It's worth a try.
    good luck

    No, Sorry !

This record brought me so good souvenirs and remember it is an authographed copy ! I know if I sell it I will regret it !

I remember when I was in the record shop back in 1982, I told myself, I should buy more than one copy, this record will be a classic...but I didn't !!

It seems like a lot of re-issues came out in the past.
