Sorry I haven't answered your posts recently, Sirius. But that doesn't mean I am not reading them and enjoying them!

My pick from that excellent list:

Timmy Thomas - Stone To The Bone - there is something about that record - the way the vocals builds up to a climax that gets me every time. Perfect!

I remember the Why Can't We Live Together remix from the time when I was studying in Germany - it was very popular in the clubs over there at the time.

    Dear jazz_pilgrim!
Thank God you are back again! I missed your
    compliments and recommondations!!!
About TIMMY THOMAS"Stone To The Bone"...if
you are listening carefully, then you will
discover the melody of "Why Canīt We Live
    Together".
There are several remixes of "Why Canīt
We Live Together"...this one has the groove
    of T-CONNECTIONīs "At Midnight" combined
    with TIMMY THOMAS.
In the early 80ies there was ILLUSION and
MIKE ANTHONY with cover-versions of that
    song, which were very popular.
Remember the line: "What the world needs now,
is peace and unity...no world war one, no
world war two, no world war three...please
    why canīt we live together???"

Oops I forgot to mention, there is also a
remix from DELEGATIONīs "Where Is The Love"
from 1987 and sounds also very nice...

Nice to read from you again...
