Hi Paul,
You hit the spot man!!!
'This Is The Right Time" is my fave too!!
I listened to this song for the last time just a few days ago, when I was recording it to my wife. Really cool!!
Peace
Guess what. I wanna throw some spice into this and stretch this to the late 80s early 90s. Since I'm the HNC of these posts, I can do that![]()
I love this artist and the spirit of disco lives in her. I know she would have held her own with Donna. I'm talking 'bout Lisa Stanfield. I've really been grooving on her lately. Like a lot of people, I first got into her because of "all around the world."
I still like it but right now my favorite is "this is the right time."
Find them and destroy them!

Hi Paul
I'm not a big fan of Lisa Stansfield (not because she's not talented) its just one of those things. I've never liked "Been Around The World" and her other songs were average/nice. But the one song that I loved of hers is "I'm Leaving" (dance version).
*DELIGHTFUL*
Lisa Stanfield had a great voice and looked set for a long and successful career. Had she been around 10 years ealier it might have flourished. What happened?
I like "All Around The World", I even have a house version called the All Around The House Mix.
I also like "You Can't Deny It" and "I'm Leavin'"
I think Lisa is a gret Dance artist. I have all her CDs. It is difficult to pick up a favourite, but maybe YOU CAN'T DENY IT, ALL AROUND THE WORLD, CHANGE and THE REAL THING are my favourites.
I think she has a strong carrear, but not as looked she would have (in the begginning). I think it started to go down a bit because of her 3rd album.
I read recently that Lisa lives in rural Ireland & shuns the showbiz world. Dont blame her, she's from Lancashire & knows what's real & important in life.

Lisa Stansfield --- yeah, baby!!
Thanks, Paul, this woman can sing. "This Is The Right Time" is my fave dance piece from her (in all it's mixes) but I still get chills when I hear "All Woman".
YES, I LOOK A MESS
BUT I DON'T LOVE YOU ANY LESS
I THOUGHT YOU ALWAYS THOUGHT ENOUGH OF ME
TO ALWAYS BE IMPRESSED
Lyrics like that make me want to kiss the writer.

I'd like to see the video-clip where Liza appears undressed.![]()

Those are beautiful lyrics. That woman definitely had talent.

I remember 1991, Lisa Stansfield was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the spirit of 70's soul/dance came back again when she sang just "All Around the World" and Max Priest sang "Groovin'in the Midinight".
Well, the writers of that song are:On 2002-10-07 21:14, NickNack wrote:

Don't know the lyricist exactly.
Pucker up !
I Believe In The Boogie, But Lovin\' Is Really My Game.
Ian Devaney is Lisa's (without a zee!) long-term boyfriend.

I remember when Lisa Stansfield first came onto the scene in 1990--they were saying things like, "Thanks to Lisa, "disco" may no longer be a dirty word". She got good reviews for her album "Affection" and the song "All Around The World", which first broke on the R&B charts before crossing over to the pop charts. My favorite by Lisa is "You Can't Deny It", but I also think "This Is The Right Time" is another good one.
