    Average White Band in Video

These guys were more funk, jazz and soul than disco, but Pick Up The Pieces was a disco hit back in the day.

Here's some vids from them performing back in the day:

    Work To Do

    Pick Up The Pieces

Put It Where You Want It (Robbie McIntosh on drums)

    Cut The Cake

    Live in 1979

Wow, you got to know Hamish Stuart! Cool. I know it's splitting hairs, but he didn't join Wings. I recall he played behind Paul McCartney in the late 80s through the 90s, whereas Wings was a 70s project that included Denny Laine and Linda McCartney. I think once Denny left, Wings was disbanded officially. Too bad Paul and Denny haven't collaborated on anything since. Probably a lot of bad blood there.

But back to Hamish, man that guy was awesome, except for his hair in that Put It Where You Want It performance. I liked how he and Alan Gorrie took turns playing guitar and bass, depending on who sang lead I guess.

I've actually seen Denny Laine live in the early 70's, the guy who booked the acts at the club i worked in had a lot of contacts. Also on that club you could have seen - Funkadelic - The Vibrations - Buddy Guy - Maxine Brown - Mary Wells - Martha Reeves - Edwin Starr & Junior Walker.
