I heard "Never Can Say Goodybye" by The Communard's and the leader voice looks like Jimmy Somerville. Do you know something about The Communard's ? Thanks a lot any help!

I,ve got a 12" 1986 release of "Don't Leave Me This Way" by the Communards.A rather uninspiring version to say the least.

Originalbigm: I hated the band, but 'Don't Leave Me this Way' was a massive, massive pop hit in the UK, and I suspect lotsa other places too. It was one of THE sounds of that year.

Don't recall it being a massive hit here.Maybe in some localized areas but not to any great degree overall.

    Dear Friends!
I am not very into COMMUNARDS, but try the
SON OF GOTHAM REMIX of "Don´t Leave Me This
Way", it´s a little bit better. "So Cold The
Night" is also a very nice thing from them.
By the way "Don´t Leave Me This Way" has
    been released with
    1)HAROLD MELVIN & THE BLUENOTES
    2)THELMA HOUSTON
    3)JEANNIE TRACY
    4)COMMUNARDS
For sure there are more versions of this
    classic-tune.
JIMMY SOMMERVILLE was very important for
    the british GayLiberationMovement in the
    80ies with "Act Up!" etc.
