Ok, first of all, which one of you is gonna help me in find the songwords for "Walk the night" by Skatt Bros?

    and then

"I’ve had enough, as much as I can take,
I almost lost my courage to create,
If I leave you alive, I need nothing to hide,
Now I wanna let you know is where I draw the line....."
The year is 1981, she's got a fierce voice.
    Name the track!

"He's got a rod beneath his coat/he's gonna ram right down your throat/ make you grovel on the floor/ spit up and scream and beg for more!!! YEAH!!! He'll whip ya/ he's gonna strip you down/ a hot shot/ hey walk the night / gonna walk the night"....

That's some of it.... (my fave part)

The Fierce Diva is Nona Hendryx; she's "Bustin' Out" with Material. (took me awhile..BUT I knew I knew that one).

Nona also did a cover of "Do What You Wanna Do" with The Cage--another goodie.

He's WAAAAAAY too good, he was in such a hurry to show off that he got the Nona Hendrix answer that he decide to "edit" the Skatt Bros lyrics to "his favourite part" (We got to talk about that!!!!LOL).
You could be a bit more generous and give me the full work (and I mean also the part where there are no rods mentioned!!!:-)

Mr. Blame It On My Pecs,

Sorry, I'm still at work... that was just from memory.

When I get home, maybe I can actually listen to the record and transcribe the whole thing. Unless, someone else wants to fill in the rest of the lyrics.

I've got a thousand things I should be doing tonight to prepare for my trip to SF this weekend--BUT here I am transcribing lyrics to "Walk The Night" by Skatt Brothers!!!!

    (evil laugh)
    Chorus:
    Awwww, Hey! walk the night
    Hey, gonna walk the night
    (repeat 4 times total)

Creeper/reeper gonna creep and walk the night
    all right--look out night
creeper got mad and angry eyes
one look from him can paralyze
resist at any time or place
creeper done slap right cross your face

    LOOK OUT
    Take care
    gonna getcha good

    Awwww, Hey! walk the night
    (repeat chorus 4 times)

Upon his lips the taste of pain
    venom kiss of love insane
he's got a rod beneath his coat
he's gonna ram right down your throat
make your grovel on the floor
spit up and scream and beg for more

He'll whip ya and strip ya down
    a hotshot
    Gotcha!!! (screeeeeaammm)

    come on
    lay down
    love it-love it-love it
    Take it

(Then the 12" version adds this oddly inappropriate scatting from the Skatt Brothers!!!!)
    Da-dit dit doy-doo
    da-dit dit doy-doo
(repeats) and "hey walk the night" chorus fades back in....

That's it. THE PERFECT Black Party song for EVERY city. The Leather Boys loved it!!! It was "Mister Benson" personally speaking to them on the dance floor!!!!

Anyone who gets that reference WAS truly there!!!

What can I say??? Anyone that dedicates his time in writing words for me instead than being busy in ironing his chaps for his SF week-end gets my total and unconditional admiration. Marky, you've got a fan!!!!
P.S. Hope that the "cold shower" brought some sort of relief, I didn't know that I could have this effect, to the other side of the world, Damn, I'm good!!!

A couple of pointless bits of inane trivia about the "Strange Spirits" LP...

    - The Canadian version has the 12" mix of "Walk The Night" instead of the short version
    - The US version has "Music for Miss Thing" written in one of the run-out grooves

Sorry, my mistake... I guess it's wrinkled chiffon that doesn't look so good.

So iron the chiffon and dry-clean the leather, right???

I think I got that down.

    Marky Explains:

I'm referencing a classic old line from the late, great Paul Lynde on "Hollywood Squares"...

Quesion: Why do bikers wear leather to ride motorcycles?

Lynde's quip: "Because chiffon wrinkles".

From Skatt Bross lyrics to Hollywood squares quotations, I start to wonder if there are any limits to the eclecticism of this man!!!!

An Italian Englishman with to-die-for pecs in black leather chaps, asking about "Walk The Night"... Uh....I'm standing at attention.

Blame it on my male curiosity.

    Sorry folks...just a little harmless fantasy cyber-flirting.
