Let's see if there is a good DISCO-SPOTTER able to help me in this.
I'm looking for the name of a Melba Moore Track on Capitol Record made between 84-88.
Very Kashif style (sound a lot like Evelyn King's "I'm in Love" arrangement) Is not one of the obvious one as "Love's coming at ya" or "Mind up Tonite". Is quite moody and dark with a Chorus that goes something like "... Keep on changing.. Your mind" or something similar. Any suggestion will be ENORMOUSLY appreciated!!!!!!

Well, when you said "dark" I thought of my favorite track from her Kashif period: "Under Love": "It's the best... you got me turned on and under love.... hey baby..I'm under your spell/oh baby I'm under your love". Sound familiar? It's got a real catchy bassline & hook--probably done with synths. I think Kashif himself sings "oooh, sweet baby" and then sings the chorus with her.

    Could this be the one???

Oops...I just read your post again...and you said 84-88; "Underlove" is from 1983.

Well, her singles after "Underlove" were:

    "Keepin' My Lover Satisfied" (1983)
    "Livin' For Your Love" (83-84)
    "Love Me Right" (84)
"(Can't take Half) All Of You" (84) w/Lillo Thomas
"Read My Lips" (Love this one, too) (85)
"When You Love Me Like This" (85)
    "I Can't Believe (It's Over)" )85)
"Love The One I'm With (A Lot Of Love)" w/Kashif (86)
    "A Little Bit More" w/Freddie Jackson (86)
    "Falling" (86)
    "It's Been So Long" (87)
"I'm Not Gonna Let You Go" (87)
    "I Can't Complain" w/Freddie jackson (88)
    "I'm In Love" w/Kashif (88)
    "Love and Kisses" (88)

One of those??? I don't recall some of those--but they charted in the Top 100 on the R&B chart.

I finally tracked down "Under Love", but I'm afraid is not what I was looking for, the track I have in mind has got a more modern arrangement, I start doubt that is Melba altogheter, but I'm positive that is on Capitol and that the chorus goes "Keep on changing , change, make up your mind (Your mind)"

Strange, I've just been watching Melba Moore on TOTP2 doing 'Loves Comin at ya' from '82. I think she's brilliant, especially 'You Stepped Into My Life'.
    ...ya gotta beat the street......
