A very simple question: What is Sunbelt, and what has it/he/they done except for the quirky "Spin It"?

Wasn't Sunbelt part of the double album studio effort entitled, "The Double Dance Album" by a particular disco label (Importe) consisting of studio musicians/singers?

Sounds like you're thinking of Tantra. They did "Hills of Katmandu" and "Wishbone." Both on Importe/12

Sorry!
Sunbelt is on Importe's "Prime Cuts I: The Double Dance Album."

Thanks for the correction. For some reason I kept thinking Sunbelt was on a West Coast label. What else is on the Prime Cuts album?

I don't have the record here at hand, but off the top of my head the ones that stick out are:
Elvin Motello - Jet Boy Jet Girl
Midnight Powers - Dance It's My Life
Hot Posse - Ride It (3rd part of An American Dream with lyrics!)
Here's what's on the Prime Cuts I: The Double Dance Album.
Side One
1. Jet Boy, Jet Girl - Elton Motello 7:00
2. Kama Sutra (Come and Play With Me) - Mino 7:00
Side Two
1. Dance, It's My Life (Instrumental) - Midnight Powers 9:14
2. Ride It - Hot Posse 7:26
Side Three
1. Show Me Yours - Corruption 6:17
2. Spin It - Sunbelt 8:14
Side Four
1. Body Contact - Loi 5:23
2. From New York to L.A. - Ice T (not the rapper) 6:54
3. Blue Light - The Red Point Orchestra 6:00
Mike Wilkinson, who owned Disconet and Importe 12, actually got the song in as a demo and apparently the song sounded like a lounge record.
A la "Let Me Take You Dancing" by Bryan Adams, he sped the song up with lethal intentions to provide what we all hear and bought.
I am not sure if he seperated the vocal from the track first and then created the music. But it is a true fact that the track was cranked up to that fever pitch gave us Spin It.
