Don't think this has anything to do with what you're talking about, Nicky... "Jack The Lad" was one of two b-sides to the Pet Shop Boys' "Suburbia" single, back in 1986. "Paninaro" was the other, which went on to become a hit in its own right, and was included on their "Disco" LP. Jack The Lad is a really nice mid-tempo number, one of PSB's best songs ever IMO. All of their singles from 1987 onward were released and rereleased on CD, but the four singles from "Please" were not. So "Jack The Lad" was not available on CD until the "Alternative" PSB compilation album came out.
