I'm sure we all have deep in our conciousness, records that have odd sounding titles or band names, that nonetheless were brilliant dancefloor fillers.
Two I'd like to mention to start the ball rolling are:

BITE YOUR GRANNY - Morning, Noon & Night. I've not seen this absolute gem mentioned here before. This was just about my favourite funk record of '77. I've never seen it listed on a compilation although another track, Le Joint from the LP, is listed on one. When I told my 15 year old daughter that I loved this record she didn't believe it existed. So I just had to drag it out to show her and have loved playing it again. What memories!

COME DANCING - The Roland Deville Orchestra.
From 1980 or '81, this was a gem of a record. All I remember is that it was on a B&W 7" label which had "Another Tax Loss Production" written on it. Orchestra was a misnomer ,cos it sounded like it was Mr. DeVille on various keyboards, although I think the drums were real and there probably was some brass on it. THe memory fades....
A storming 124-125 BPM instrumental, that just bounced along so brilliantly in a nondescript sort of a way.

Let's hear yours.
