The song by LOVE INTERNATIONAL is really
named "Dance On The Groove And Do The Funk".
It has been also released by the FUNK MACHINE
Cosmic Love & Kisses From SIRIUS & DARKTUNES
I made some very short mp3s (only 200 KB)
from old recordings of mine, and
I would like someone to listen to them
and to tell me the songs:
http://www.usa.gl/temp/benson.mp3
(it *may* be George Benson)
http://www.usa.gl/temp/sledge.mp3
(it *may* be Sister Sledge)
http://www.usa.gl/temp/desire.mp3
http://www.usa.gl/temp/armatrading.mp3
(it shoud be Joan Armatrading,
this is not a dance song)
If you have problems in donwloading, please browse:

Another question:
Which is the exact title of
"Dance on the groove and do the funk"
(around 1981 by Love International?)
Thanks
Fabrizio

Hi Fabrizio,
I listened to your sound samples...I had no trouble at all!!!!
I'm sure #1 is Al Jarreau "Distracted" (1980)
After that, I'm less sure....
#2 sounds like Change possibly...I don't think it's Sister Sledge...sounds like the title should be "On Top"...ring any bells???
#3 is a male vocal "baby I'm burnin' with DESIRE" ...The Masqueraders did a "Desire" song in 1980...BUT that's a wild guess.
#4 sure sounds like Joan Armatrading doing a light reggae shuffle thing...BUT again it doesn't sound familiar...if I have time I'll pull my Joan records and listen again.
Someone else here will know them easily I'd think.

Fabrizio,
I was over at allmusic.com ...so I did a few title searches on your songs.
I'm pretty sure that #2 IS Change cause I found a song titled "On Top" by them. I don't have that LP..so I can't definitively say...BUT I'd be very surprised if that's not it.
On #3....I found several more possibilities for "Desire" songs...Leon Haywood, Philip Bailey, and BB& Q Band from that early '80's time period. I have to listen to the sample again to see if it sounds like any of those artists. Anyone ELSE know?????
The Joan Armatrading is STILL a mystery.
BUT I haven't given up.

Hi Fabrizio,
Marky is right about # 2. It's "On Top" by Change from their 1981 album, MIRACLES.
Sorry, I don't know who does 'desire' and I'm clueless about Joan A.
