I've spent hours searching in cdnow.com's samples for this song that frequently pops up in my head. It has been chasing me for about 20 years!
I nor know the title nor the composer nor who performs it, so this is really difficult. Therefore I have made a sketch of it in mp3(450kb) (midi --> wav --> mp3), and hope that I can find someone to e-mail it to for identification. (Sounds alot like Eath wind and fire). If you don't want to show your e-mail here, write me at tryggwe@hotmail.com.

    Thanks!

p.s. The midi-file is ofcourse available if you prefer that (smaller).

Heck, I'll give it a try, though most of the time I'm not real good at this. Just hit the 'mail' tab under my handle and send it. I forgot, send the mp3 or wav.

    Hi Tryggwe,

Sorry. I played it and no luck. Is this the actual song? Is all of it instrumental? I'm asking because there is something in the melody I recognize but this isn't the piece where I heard it.

    Good luck.

    Thanks for trying Nicky!

The melody and the tempo is the only thing I'm sure that is correct.

The melody is sung by male voices is a high register (just like EWaF). The text..... well it COULD be something like "I Love Carita and that's no lie....." but that can be far from the truth thou.

btw, I don't know anyone named Carita, if you wonder.

could it be: Aye No Corrida....by Quincy Jones, from THE DUDE LP (A&M Records) released in 1981....that would be about 20 years of haunting, no?

    the lyrics would certainly fit.

    "Ai No Corrida" it IS!

Is's time go out in the Swedish autumnsun in Stockholm to buy a record whith Quincy I guess.

I find it strange that this song appear on so few Disco-collection-records.

    Many many Thanks DanceMan!!!

Good call, DanceMan. Kind of strange that the file I listened too sounded NOTHING (IMO) like Ai No Corrida. And I have both Quincy's and Chaz'. It sounded like I had a 33 RPM going at 45.

Oh well, at least Tryggwe is happy. That's all that matters, right?
