I'll take a guess: Gloria Gaynor and Lime.

There's been a total of five disco events now thrown at San Francisco's old TROCADERO TRANSFER .
If my observation is correct ... only two acts have the honour of being played on all five nights. (I found only two anyway  )
Who are they ????
Hint: Donna Summer is not one of them .....
Give it a guess !!!

I'll take a guess: Gloria Gaynor and Lime.
Cerrone & Slyvester
Well, I woulda said Donna Summer --until this last party-- ain't no Donna at all!!! :-o:-o:-o
Without cheating and looking at the playlists---I will guess Gloria Gaynor & Sylvester-- they seemed to be played every time--but my mind may be playing tricks on me again.:icon_question:

OK, I went and looked and it would appear to be SLYVESTER & CERRONE--they are on every playlist. :p:p:p
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Well, of course, Sylvester has been played at every RtP event! What's a classic Trocadero disco event in San Francisco without at least one cut by Sylvester???
How can we not have Cerrone?
Actually, there are at least two other artist nobody's mentioned who's vocals have been played at every RtP. Think guest vocalist or backup vocals as well as lead.
As for Lime, my luck hoping they would be kept off of Robbie Leslie and Jerry Bonham's playlists for the past RtPs finally gave out. I knew they had to be included, and as you know, Jerry played "Your Love" at RtP 5. However, he had mercy on me and he pitched the song waaaaaaaay down so that Miss Lepage's vocals weren't quite so SCRRREEEECHY. It actually sounded okay.![]()

keefelc,
Is one of them Paul Parker? I know he had a few songs created especially for some of the events, but i think he also appeared on some of Patrick Cowley's songs played at some of the events.

I almost said "good job Shenkin !!'' ..... I'm so used to that .... but then I looked again and it was you famdam !!:-)
So, "Good job famdam !!"
I think those are the only two . And hopefully homeboy Sylvester will always be played each time ....
.....and Cerrone too for that matter . ...what the hey ...

you know remicks i was thinking luther too! man , he was everywhere!
on the subject of classic disco, I'm wondering how rare is "Casablanca Records' Greatest Hits"? I'm referring to the 20 song, single disc collection, not the 4 CD set. I need to know if I should hang on to it or not.
Okay, I kind of screwed up when I said two other artist(s)'s vocals were played at past five RtPs. I shoulda said at the music of at least two other artist(s) have been played at the past five.
However, famdam guessed one correctly! :-P Paul Parker has indeed been involved with records which were played at every party!! He created new songs for the first 3, then Jerry Bonham played "Right On Target" at last years party. Finally for this one, Paul helped out during the mixing of "Get A Little."
Okay, so there's still one more artist who's musical talent has been on at least one record played at each party (this person's records or with others). Really an easy one to guess if you think about where we are.
There's also a duo who have been involved with record(s) heard at each party.
As for Luther, I originally thought he was on a record played at each party, but I don't believe he sang backup on the first Bionic Boogie album. I couldn't find any other songs on the first playlist (including the half dozen songs that didn't make it to the CD set, but were played that evening), where there was a possibility Luther sang backup. Anybody know differently? :icon_question: :icon_question: :icon_question:
Got to be Patrick Cowley....????
