They released 2 or 3 albums for Mercury/Polygram but I was kinda surprised this one was a big hit. Plenty of more retro styled tracks on the albums.
'Hearbeats' was a hit in the gay clubs here in the UK in '83.
...ya gotta beat the street......
I've got another one of their 12" singles - 'Don't Waste Your Time' - it was a cross between 'Don't Stop The Music' and the SOS Band's 'Just Be Good To Me' - don't think it charted here and was on another label - Total Experience TEX 501.
These guys were far from 1 hit wonder. Here in the U.S. they charted 9 R&B hits 5 of which were in the top ten including the #1 hits "Don't Stop The Music" and "Don't Waste Your Time". Other top ten R&B hits include "Hearbeats" (#10), "Guilty" (#2) and "I Wouldn't Lie" (#6). In addition 4 of those songs hit the top 100 Pop charts. After 4 R&B/Pop albums and 1 Christmas album the duo married and restired back to Texas.
