After watching the French Connection clip you posted it instantly reminded me of another favorite of mine, The Seven Ups. it's from around the same time period and takes place mainly in New York City, but also continues into New Jersey over the GWB and then the Palisades to a great ending. Talk about a fabulous car chase the good old fashioned way with no silly computer graphics... This is the REAl deal folks.

I've never seen it. Roy Scheider is in it, right?

Yes Roy Scheider was in the Seven Ups. Haven't seen the movie since the mid-80s? on channel 5 in NYC, but it has always remained in my memory.

Yeah, The Seven Ups was/is a great flick, I believe that great chase scene was filmed by the same stunt team of 'The French connection' that's why it was so good....I haven't seen this movie in ages :icon_neutral:
