Yet another old tape of one of my Friday nights in '86, that prooves beyond doubt that Disco music was still in the groove.
O.K. it was more funk orientated, but hey, what's wrong with that?

Madonna - True Blue (a request doubtless)
Janis Ian - Fly too High (what a track from '79)
Change - Searchin' (A UK anthem in '80)
Ready for the World - Oh! Sheila
    Evelyn King - High Horse
    Cameo - Word Up
    BarKays - Sexomatic
Zeus - Every one a winner?
Incredible Mr. Freeze - Back to the Scene of the Crime
Wally Jump Jr. - Jump Back
    Paul Hardcastle - 19
Colonel Abrahams - I'm Not Gonna Let You
MC Miker G. - Holiday Rap
    __________________________________________

    Grandmaster Flash - White Lines
    Haywoode - Roses
Janet Jackson - What Have You Done for Me Lately?
Ralph McDonald - We Need More Calypso
    Jeffrey Osborne - Soweto
Level 42 - Lessons In Love
Whitney Houston - How Will I Know
Steve Silk Hurley - Jack Your Body
Marshall Jefferson - House Music Anthem?
Farley Jackmaster Funk - Love Can't Turn Around
Eddie & The Soul Boys - Shaft
Mel & Kim - Showing Out
Michael Jackson - Thriller ( a request, 4 years on)
Janet Jackson - When I Think Of You (weak follow up)
Midnight Star - The Midas Touch
Michael McDonald - Sweet Freedom (on video, complete with wacky intro dialogue mixed under the previous Midnight Star track. We had to play 3 videos per hour by order of the management. This could sometimes be difficult, but amazingly I even managed to do some half decent mixes. In the early days of video the soundtracks were so bad, I used to mix the 7" in sync with the video soundtrack, easy once the absolute speeds were lined up together).

I thought from the title of this post that it was a quiz.

So let me turn it into one: Does anyone know why "Alive and Kicking" might be relevant to this site...?

I titled it that way 'cos a lot of posters here have written that Disco had died by 1980 (or '82 at the latest). Hence my premise that it was still 'alive and Kickin' even in '86.
