I saw it last week and I must say it had it's moments although it was a little disappointing (for me at least) to watch how Greek/Americans have remained in a post war frame of mind.
Not that Greeks in Greece are much different but at least in a big city like Athens some of us are trying to obtain a European urban identity that will set us apart from the "oriental mentality" of the past generations.
The movie however is funny and definitely worth the ticket price.

My girlfriend kept insisting that we watch this and I kept putting her off. We finally went about two months ago and we loved it completely. We laughed and laughed and enjoyed the acting and story line-and not one special effect! In fact she took her parents a few days later and saw it a second time.

I haven't met a person yet who didn't like it. My girlfriend is Iranian and and an ex was Greek (Cypriot) and I'm Puerto Rican so I could definitely relate to this movie.

My fiancee wants to see this movie. I don't know much about it, but I'm willing to see it. At least it's not one of those movies that rely on special effects.

I saw this movie tonight and I really like it. Finally, there's a movie out now that's worth seeing.

This movie was a hoot! The entire audience was laughing. All the sterotypes are 'over-the-top', making it just harmless fun. I loved the language translation jokes they kept playing on John Corbett. Lanie Kazan is still outrageous. I've seen her playing the Jewish, the Italian and now the Greek "Mom". The best thing about this movie is that it represents anybody's crazy family. As a guy who grew up with four brothers, five first cousins and a 'tribe' of relatives, I felt right at home with this flick.

If you haven't, go spend the bucks and give yourself a 90-minute tickle.
