Does anyone remember a restaurant called Emersons? They used to serve a drink called the grog (sp?)
There was one in Syracuse a million years ago, but they had them other places as well.
Btw, while we're on the subject of Syracuse, I have two questions.
1). What's in the building where the Curry Cafeteria was? I seem to remember a Plainville Turkey Farms going in there, but that was years ago.
2). There was a restaurant on Erie Blvd that I believe was owned by Greeks and they had a pastry case as you walked in. It was more of a family style place not real fancy. Anyone remember the name?
I can't speak on behalf of Syracuse, but there were many Emersons restaurants all over the tri-state area in the 1970's. In fact, I have a newsclipping of the movie listings on my birthdate (I was born in 1975), and there was an advert for Emersons on that page. $4.95 for a steak dinner.
