Dear Marcio!
"I Love Men" was also very massive in Europe.
A typical GayAnthem. She did also "I Donīt
Care" and "This Is My Life". Later about
1987 she worked with Bronski Beat(without
Somerville) together and they released
"Cha Cha Heels".
Last time I did a mistake: CHERYL DILCHER
GROUP has released on Butterfly Rec. and
not as I mentioned AVI Rec. Sorry!

I have picked out some of the trax I know. Only three this week!!
You are absolutely right about that Eartha Kitt track. It was very popular in the clubs I used to go to, and got a fair amount of radio play in London! I think it made the Top 40 or 50 pop as well! A wonderful record!!
Vicki Sue Robinson - a great classic indeed!
Slick - Space Bass. A great record to dance to! But, you have got me intrigued!! The Space Bass - let me have a guess - was it a club??
Tschuß !!
If it moves - funk it!!
Dear jazz_pilgrim!
Sorry, that you only know three songs of my
charts. But you should listen also to the
rest, although itīs more HardDisco for Gays,
but I still love the harder beat esp. when
it is combined with a great Diva!!!
I thought it so, that "Space Bass" was a
club, but was it really existing or only
a fantasy "...living in the year 3000"???

I wonder how many of you know that "Queen Samantha" was a project masterminded by a greek guy named Charis Chalkitis. I doubt he, himself, even remembers...On 2002-08-28 09:15, sirius wrote:

Last I heard he was writing/producing for his daughter Victoria. She has released a couple of albums of silly "popish" tunes for 12 year olds during the 90's.
If both of you like Queen Samantha, then also check out "Close Your Eyes" on Megatone. Great song.On 2002-08-29 03:52, DeepBeat wrote:

Dear Friends!
From QUEEN SAMANTHA Iīm also into "Sweet
San Francisco", "The Letter", "Mama Rue
(CīEst Moi)", "Close Your Eyes" and certainly
"Funky Celebrations". I have from them
3 Albums and 2 12"es.
But I didnīt know that the producer was
from Greece.
Disco was really an international thing!!!

Sirius,
I'm not sure, but Poussez! ("Never Gonna Say Goodbye") was formed by three blondie girls. Do you know something ???
About gay&lesbian classic songs, in Brazyl, "Stay with me" performed by India is very popular.
I don't know Suzy Lane. I know Lux Lane, from Germany, but it is not dance music. Forget it...
Dear Marcio!
About POUSSEZ!: This was a studio-combo made
by ALPHONZE MOUZON and sounds very hard...
"Never Can Say Goodbye" or "Come On And Do
It" are sleazy and even Baby Ford sampled
1988 their records. POUSSEZ! has released
another album in 1980, which is more funky,
but still fantastic.
About SUZI LANE: There are rumours at this
webpage, that she was a model. Suzi has been
produced by GIORGIO MORODER in 1979 and
released an album called "Ooh La La". "Ooh
La La" is another great track and lots of
electro inside. I donīt know, if she re-
leased another LP. Looks that she was a
so-called One-Shot-Diva.
About INDIA: I know her as a HouseSinger,
if this is the one, you mean, but I donīt
know the song you mentioned.

Sirius, thanks
The only Midnight Rhythm's Disco song I know until now is "Workin'& Slavin'(I Need Love)" and the female vocals are so good !!!
