George Benson has always had a strong fanbase in the U.K. probably the first track i ever played by him in a club was "Supership" on C.T.I and his version of "Love Ballad" is a local anthem. it's karaoke time when i play it.

I absolutely love 'Turn Your Love Around'; another perfect Jay Graydon production.8-)
...ya gotta beat the street......
Is Benson gay?
Find them and destroy them!
He has about 6 kids I heard so if he likes guys his sexuality is a very fluid one!:o :-? He was certainly a very attractive man when he was younger; I think these days he has a slightly 'plastic' look n'est pas?:o

I heard on a TV news report that Benson has lost 3 of his sons, at least one of them to street violence. Some of my favorite songs of his are his least well known: "Weekend in L.A.", "Gonna Love You More", "Being With You" and several songs he did with super producer Narada Michael Walden, but the titles of the songs escape me right now. He also did great duets with Chaka Khan and Aretha Franklin.
"Love of my life" from 1993's Love Remembers was actually my fav as a vocal track. A runner up would be "Holdin' on" from 1996's That's right and "I just wanna hang around you" and "New day" from 20/20.
As for instrumental, my picks are "Theme from Good king bad" and "One rock don't make no boulder" which were both from his stint with Columbia in the mid 70's. I appreciate both his instrumental jazzy side and his vocal material.
"Love all the hurt away" was the cut from 1980 that he did with Aretha Franklin. "We got the love" from 1979's Chaka Lp was the duet he performed with Chaka Khan.
