The Point. This was a favourite of many. I'm not quite sure they did it in America so I may be off topic here, but it's not too late to learn. The Point can be done to house or any other type of good music. Do this: Once you note someone on the dancefloor who is a) a very good dancer b) a lousy dancer c) someone otherwise notable f.ex.a gorgeous looker that you fancy, point at that person. This you do with the index finger naturally, and while pointing, freeze your frame into a sideways pose or something similar. You can point with the fingers of both hands, and adapt the move to different moods as well. If you mean to "dis" - is this expression still used? - you can wave the finger sideways limply as if no no my friend, you're wrong so do it again. Do a spiral move from behind your ears, or a slow, rhythmic thrust. The Point can also be hazardous to your health so be cautious who you point at.

Although I wasn't alive in the 60's and 70's to experience those dance crazes, but I've heard of half the ones you's mentioned.

There's one important dance craze you's forgot to mention and that's "THE BUS STOP". I'm guessing the Fatback band started this dance craze then again British disco/funk artist Oliver Sain did a song called "Bus Stop" in 1974 so I could be wrong. Also Fatback Band did "Double Dutch" in 1977 so I assume that was a dance craze as well.

I guess "The Popcorn" was also a dance craze.

And I've seen a B&W 1965 Ed Sullivan Show clip of Freddie & The Dreamers performing "The Freddie", now that's one piss funny dance craze               .I've got this clip on video too.

Australia mate! The land of many great funkateers!

    The Cleopatra
    The Horse
    The Frug
