Wow-- I forgot all about that song until you mentioned it here.....Didn't Stevie Wonder have something to do with it...or did the singer just remind me of him?

    Dear Marcio! Dear DanceMan!
I think Stevie has produced this record and
is also singing a part of the song.
    It was released in 1982(?).

    Danceman and Sirius,

"The Crown",1983,10:35,written by Stevie Wonder&Gary Byrd and ,oh yes,Stevie Wonder have a quote in the middle of the song! "The Crown" is a funny RAP and Gary Byrd talks again and again...10:35 is enough !!!

There is a commercial disco radio show in London in Friday and Saturday nights, and there is always a helluva buzz on "The Crown" - it is always the most requested record on the show week in week out. So much so that they always play the full-length version. And this is on a show where most of the stuff they play is 7" version only.

And this is reflected in the price of the record in the 2nd hand shops - I recently saw the 12" selling for £10 ($15).

My opinion? I think the record is OK

If it moves - funk it!!
