As a huge Rinder & Lewis sound fan I've been intending to get hold of Seven Deadly Sins for ages & this week at last found a mint copy & bought it. How fabulous is this LP? So ahead of its time & it satisfies so many of my disco needs!:o There's a jazz-funk/r & b sound on some tracks & there's a track with a sequencer/early hi-nrg sound & it's all very well-played & produced as you'd expect. No doubt many of you guys are very familiar with this classic LP already; now I am too!:)

Always liked "Lust"! :icon_mrgreen:
Actually "Lust" received a second radio/club life in NYC around 88/89.

Totally agreed. Miles ahead of it's time. Anyone who thinks house was invented in 1986-ish has not heard this LP.
I'm also looking for this nice LP.
They had their own sound and a special pedigree according to their musical background (thx Berni for the great interview of Laurin Rinder BTW )
for those who missed it:

It's mostly instrumental, except "Envy (Animal Fire)" which IIRC is sung by Lewis, and "Anger" which has lots of grunting from Rinder.
On subsequent listens I have to say I'm not too sure about the 'Sloth' track as it reminds me too much of the theme from 'Desperate Housewives'!:???: The rest of the LP is fabulous though.
...ya gotta beat the street......
I've just noticed Bernie's copy says 1978 but my copy says 1977. Which is correct?:???: While I'm on the subject, my copy of the Baciotti LP says 1978 while Bernie's says '77! (the other way around!). My R & L LP is a US copy (AVI) & my Baciotti LP is a German copy (RCA).
...ya gotta beat the street......
Mine says 1978 but it's a UK copy on Pye, not the original AVI.
I can understand the UK PYE release being '78 as the UK was often behind the US but the AVI copy on the A-Z section says '78! Maybe it had 2 US release dates.:-?

Different eyes see different things. Different hearts beat on different strings. But there are times for you and me when all such things agree...Rush
I'm really confused!:(

Hi Nicky. I'm afraid both the sleeve & label both say '77 but just hearing from you has made my Sunday!;) :icon_mrgreen:
