If anyone has this incredible piece of music on vinyl's I'm prepared to trade my vhs copy of the early 70's Danish adult film "Jeg Såg Jesus Dö/I Saw Jesus Die" for it.

This is a hoot !!! If anyone can't possibly figure out why there weren't too many (is in zero) ...deep in the woods, "get back to nature with disco ", retreat type events ever staged ... this absurdity pretty much covers it !!! :roll::p :oops: Could a song possibly be made to seem any more out of place .

I think few will argue that one absolute about disco would be : it was an urban phenomena .

BTW, is it my dirty mind? I get the impression that this is the intro of a great Danish 70's pornflick and that after the song all those people bump 'n grind all over the forest

You're very probably right about this version of "Apache" being an intro to a porn film, but judging by the sound I'd say it's of German origin - listen to the strings and the Dschinghis Khan-style male vocal. Was it Danish the sound would perhaps been a lot cheaper and more schlager-influenced, whereas in Germany they had the studio musicans ready to churn out a credible dance track during their lunch break.

Tommy Seebach was fairly well established, most famous for entering Eurovision three times ("Disco Tango" in 1979, "Krøller Eller Ej" in 1981, and "Under Stjernerne På Himlen" in 1993 ).

As for Apache, well there is a 12" single for sale on GEMM if you've won any lotteries recently ($77) ;-) . The A-side is called "Bubble Sex" - no video for that, presumably...

Life used to be so simple back in the time before the net, we would sit around smiling and nobody would demand 77 dollars for a Tommy Seebach record. So it's HIM and not someone from the Beate Uhse stall! Now what is one supposed to do, pay the amount apparently, especially as the side A is called Bubble Sex ?
