I had the pleasure of going to see his grand opening art show on Saturday night at Backstreet Gallery in West Los Angeles. For those who won't be in the are between 12/01/01-12/17/01.I Highly suggest taking a minute and visit Laurin's art web site at http://www.rinderart.com and enjoy.I got a chance to speak with Laurin and he is as down to earth as he is brilliant.

The word evokes not just a type of music or a kind of dance or even a style of dress.It\'s also a new social order of black and white, gay and straight, rich and poor, all hot, sweaty and, most likely, high, together.

    Hello DJ Phillip

Thanks again for that link. Laurin Rinder probably isn't interested in the past anymore (since he is away from the music business), but do you know if he visits this site? Did you talk about disco? What did he say to you? Thanks.

Well he is very nice man and down to earth. We talk a little about Disco.Mostly the same stuff as Bernie's interview. He said the interview with Bernie was the first in over 15 years. He also said they were always in the studio.Laurin also said W.Michael Lewis might show up but I didn't see him there.I kinda felt like not talking too much about music because I really was floored about his paintings. It was too much for me.Being in the same room as my disco hereo, soaking in his amazing paintings. And to top it off he sighned all of my El co co,etc albums.I felt a special moment when he sighned my "Warriors" lp with his Dad on the cover. It was truly a night I'll never forget.

    Hello Phillip

I visited riderart page. Indeed the paintings are very beautiful. He seems to be fascinated from american natural landscapes. Very beautiful.

You said he autographed the copies of all El Coco albums you had... I've posted a discography in this page. Please, can you confirm it? I mean: do you know if it is complete? Can you ad something to it? Do you know any El Coco album release in 1979 or after 1982?

    Thank you

    Paulo
