I always visualised France Joli as this svelte, French-speaking (probably because of the name & her being Canadian?:???: ) chanteuse, so this film really shocked me.:o She's like a white version of Jocelyn Brown; big & powerful!:p I remember reading in a magazine in '79 (I was 14)that Ms.Joli wowed the queens on Fire Island & thought to myself that I would go there one day as it sounded like paradise & last year I did just that & it is a fabulous place but unfortunately no disco & no Ms.Joli:-? :sad: (& not many queens either!)

I was thinking she looked more like Divine.

She looks alot better than Divine does at the moment!:lol: Much as i loved Divine, he/she couldn't really sing could he/she? Divine came from that Amanda Lear school of glamour/image but not much of a voice. (& of course Amanda definitely wasn't a he/she.:roll: :???: )

Hi Guys, I have just watched this vid and like SandraDee I was also shocked in the way she looked:icon_surprised: .
I also had visions of her in the "Come to me" days of as SandraDee says, this "svelte, French-speaking chanteuse".
What year was that vid shot?
But "Come to me" was a beautiful song which has always been a favorite of mine.
