Metro Area "Miura" undoubtedly........
There's been a lot of sampling and covering and Housing but which output do you consider as the best Nu-Discorecord of the recnt years?
I adore this one and it comes from a group which are not really my favourite musicians:
Pet Shop Boys: "New York City Boy"

Metro Area "Miura" undoubtedly........
“Digital Love” - it’s not so new, bcause it was made in 2004 by Daft Pank. It contains the sample from “I love You” written by George Duke. The animation genre-videoclip, that I have, is very pretty and beautiful!
It's got to be the glittering "Alcastar" by Alcazar, a shameless hymn to high fashion, glamorous arrivals, V.I.P lounges and disco decadence, all arranged to perfection with maximum pomp. There's a grandiose string section of course. Though only 3 minutes long, it builds up to total hysteria and everything you'll need to feel like an Alcastar or whatever.
There are just too many 'nu-disco' goodies to choose from but one that sticks out in my mind that I've been playing quite a bit over the weekend is Culture Beat's Rendezvous. This gem is from 1998 and was just so gloriously disco in nature but sadly overlooked for the most part because it came out at the time when the era of digitally editing and remixing big diva ballads for the dancefloor became all the rage.
But with liner notes depicting who did the reeds, trumpets and strings plus great vocals by Kim Sanders, this was a fantastic release. There's even a concertmaster!
"Say it from the top of the Empire State
Say it from the heart of the Golden Gate
That you wanna be with me, you wanna be with me
And no longer will you wait" 8-)
I forgot 1 very important: how I love this song!

'I Cant Get Enough' by Soul Searcher is my fave in this genre.;-) I find its use of Gary's Gang is the best example of sampling I've heard yet.
...ya gotta beat the street......
Johnny Corporate "Sunday Shoutin'" for cleverly useing a little known but great track -Brick "Living From My Mind" as a sample.

Did anybody spot the sample used in Junior Jack "Stupid Disco" it could qualify as Nu-Disco in it's own right it's non other than the Pointer Sisters "Dare Me".
