Marilyn McCoo of the Fifth Dimension.
Who is this lovely lady who sang a song "one less bell to answer, one less egg to fry"
and she also sang a song about "Bill"
Who is the woman? Its not disco, but I think its from the 70s or early eighties.
She has a powerful yet beautiful voice.

Thanks a million.
That name rings a bell. I have Maralyn Mcoo and Billy Davis Jr (or something like that) on a few albums.
"One Less Bell To Answer" is something of a standard, is it not? I have a version done by Shirley Bassey in the early 70s.

The 5th Dimension is a great pop group from the 60's and 70's. And the ones to bring Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In to the masses.
You know the interesting thing about the musical "Hair?" Though it produced many big hits ("Good Morning Starshine", "Hair", "Easy to be Hard", the aforementioned medley "Aquarius"/"Let the Sunshine In") not ONE of the hits came from the original cast recording, they were ALL covers.
Paul, thought about that as well :D . Wish I could claim it was the Goddess powers, but it's probably just coinky-dink.
Skinflint, that's a great point about the HAIR covers. Oliver ("Good Morning, Starshine") passed away this year, iirc.

Still, 4 top ten hits from one Broadway show is pretty darn good.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last single from a Broadway show to hit the top of the American charts was Jennifer Holliday singing "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" from Dreamgirls.
Now it's coming out as a movie, with Beyonce.
