Man Shortage
Does anyone recall a song called "Man Shortage" by Eurofunk that came out approx 1983? It's a bit of euro-sleaze approx 114 bpm.

Man Shortage by Eurofunk is a favourite of mine. I love that it's such a long 12" with the singer's standards of what she'll accept in a man getting lower as it goes on. Great bonus beats too!
It was recently included on Morgan Geist's UnClassics compilation.

Re: Man Shortage
"Man shortage" was a nice Miami Record released on Pantera Records (Pant 83, 10:00 total time version) the same label that originally released Expose’s recordings. I‘ve got two other pressings with different versions, (test pressings), the original mix that sounds the most on the funky side with more emphasis on the drum’s down beat, then a second mix down version labeled as “dance version” and apparently only available as test pressings , this version is probably the one used as master for the “Special Dance version” re-mixed by Luis Martinez (Lewis Martinee) & Brodie Williams and released on the aforementioned Pantera label (was this picked up by any other labels ??).
The second test pressing has a different intro and lacks any Bonus Beats, but on this version the synth bass is much powerful and pushed forward in the mix giving it a more euro/energy sound (cut louder too)and so is the drum beat (different EQ) with maybe some additional synths effects added , even though there is a mastering process problem during the last two minutes or so adding some distortion this is the version I used.
