    Blame it on the glut

    *****

    FILL MY LIFE WITH LOVE

    Saint Tropez
    1978
    Rinder & Lewis producers

Don't know how I missed playing this one  ... played the snot out of ONE MORE MINUTE .......

.... maybe I just didn't have a promo of this one and had plenty else to play ....

But damn .... what a wonderful song !!!!

Starts off pounding like Costandinos then switches out to a more lulling romantic style . Not a synth in sight of this carefully crafted real instrument ditty , loaded with all the right stuff ..... piano, strings , galloping bass line ( with a tinge of early Gloria Gaynor ) , subtle bongos, horn section with sax solos and most significantly : sultry vocals that at times seem very Donna .... Emotions-esque at other times. Always soft and heartrending ....

It had to have "LOVE " in the title .....it is so amorously conveyed .....
One of the ” big ones “ that got away … .from me anyway …..so I've got some catching up to do with this delight ………

I'll be playing this one heavily for awhile…..

    Hello Remicks.
I agree with you. Love this song also. Seems a few missed it, with one more minute being so popular. The fantastic R & L magic doing it again. Hey are going to Remember the Party?

I like 'One More Minute' a lot! Such a cool track. Too bad the only version out there is the LP mix. No 12" remix as far as I know. I wonder why a producer like Rinder & Lewis would remix other stuff like the El Coco project for 12" release, but not other stuff like Le Pamplemousse (Spank and Monkey See Monkey Do aren't remixed) or St Tropez on 12". Was it their call, or the label's?

Je T'aime is another favourite of mine by St Tropez.
